RPAS 24” x 24” Drone Take-off and Landing Pad with safety indicators (compass, wind and aerodrome direction)

These drone landing pads protect smaller drone aircraft like the DJI Mavic Mini, Mini2 or Air2S from ground debris damage to the motors (from grass, sand, stones, snow, leaves and twigs), and also actually improve flight safety by providing visual reference indicators. The indicators help to remind the pilot during flight of wind direction and direction of nearby aerodromes which may impact the drone operation.

These enhanced drone landing pads promote safe flight and are better than cheap competitors in many ways:

• made with lightweight yet durable corrugated plastic sheet (in either Standard 4mm or Pro 8mm thickness) - 24” x 24” 4mm thick pad weighs just 280g
• this pad is more rigid than fabric or rubber mats and provides a more solid, level surface so drone propellers are unlikely to contact it
• high quality colour printed with compass directions (N, S, E, W) along with numerical degree markings so you just place the landing pad on the ground oriented to the correct direction. Having a clear visual direction indicator helps to understand where NOTAMs and other issues are during flight
• the landing pad has 12 velcro pads secured around the perimeter so before flight you just press the wind and aerodrome direction indicators into place on the pad where they are needed
• the red triangle wind direction indicator is included, so you can position it directly on the landing pad as a reminder of wind direction. This safety feature provides an easy visual of the direction wind will carry the drone if the pilot loses connection or has other issues during flight
• aerodrome direction indicators (blue triangles) are an additional safety feature which can be positioned on the landing pad to indicate the direction of significant aerodromes which the pilot needs to remain aware of during flight
• no problem if exposed to water (unlike fabric pads or rubber mats that get soggy and decay) or moist grass surfaces
• split hinged to fold to a smaller size for storage and transportation
